Kentucky General Store & Licensed Cafe

Kentucky General Store is situated half way between Sydney & Brisbane, just 13km south of Uralla & 4km off the New England Highway in the picturesque village of Kentucky. If visiting from Walcha take Thunderbolts Way as far as the turn off to Terrible Vale turn left & follow the road to Kentucky the trip which is 35km approx takes about 30min. After your visit we will direct you on another scenic route back to Walcha.

Enjoy a hearty meal with your favourite beer or try some of the best local wines the region has to offer and finish with their famous coffee all in front of a warm fire, the perfect escape from the winter cold.

During summer dine indoors or in the courtyard under a shady tree taking in the countryside.

The licensed cafe also features a diverse range of local art and crafts or if you would like to take a trip down memory lane ask them about the area’s history displayed in the Memorial Hall next door.
